Reading the product shot, detail by detail
Rockstar's second image lays both revolvers on a table beside a stack of cash, a switchblade and a box of Stronghold revolver ammunition. The first shows a scoped stainless revolver held out at the camera by a man in a cap and sunglasses. Between them, the details are specific enough to tabulate.

The serial numbers are dates
Read as day, month and year, 291002 is 29 October 2002 and 311006 is 31 October 2006. PC Gamer matched them to the North American release dates of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Vice City Stories.
Lucia's gun carries the original game's date and Jason's the prequel's.
Where the Vercetti Estate points
Tommy Vercetti was the lead of the 2002 game, and the estate was his mansion. Rockstar's wording ties the pair to that house.
It is one of several nods to the 2002 game in the pre-order material, alongside the Tommy Vercetti palm pattern in the Vintage Vice City Pack.
Hawk & Little, and why the maker fits the model
Hawk & Little began in GTA V as a stock on the in-game BAWSAQ exchange, billed as the largest firearms manufacturer in the United States. In the enhanced versions of GTA V and GTA Online its name appears on weapons including the Combat Pistol and the Heavy Revolver.
A stand-in for Smith & Wesson
The GTA Wiki notes that the Hawk & Little logo is nearly identical to Smith & Wesson's, and that both companies date to the 1850s. PC Gamer identifies the Morgan as a Smith & Wesson 629, a stainless .44 Magnum revolver.
So the fictional maker and the real model line up. It also corrects an earlier version of this page: Hawk & Little has not supplied the series' pistols for decades. Before GTA VI it belonged to the GTA V era alone.
How the pair fits the carry rules
Rockstar North's Rob Nelson told TGG's preview that Jason and Lucia can each keep two concealed handguns on them at all times. Read against that rule, a his-and-hers pair means one revolver per character, not a two-gun set that uses up anyone's whole allowance.
What nobody has said is whether a long-barrelled, scoped revolver counts as a concealed sidearm like any other, or whether Jason can carry Lucia's.
Still unanswered
- Damage, range, capacity or reload speed. The listing says "powerful" and nothing measurable.
- Whether a plain Morgan exists in the base game. PC Gamer treats the Ultimate pair as modified versions of a standard model; Rockstar has not said.
- Whether the scope can be removed, or fitted to Lucia's revolver.
- What happens to an engraved gun if it is dropped or lost.
Should you pay for them?
The revolvers cannot be bought on their own. They are one line in the Ultimate Edition's list of sixteen items, which costs $20 more than the Standard Edition in the US ($99.99 against $79.99) and £20 more in the UK (£89.99 against £69.99).
If you want the pair, the question is whether the rest of that list is worth the difference. Rockstar says the Upgrade can be bought separately later, so there is no deadline, and our edition-by-edition breakdown lists every item.
