GTA6.free is an independent reference and community site for Grand Theft Auto VI. It is run by volunteers, funded by nobody, and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or any of their subsidiaries.
Grand Theft Auto, Vice City and all related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them to describe the game this site is about, which is what nominative use is for.
What this site is for
Two things. First, to be the most accurate free reference for Grand Theft Auto VI in existence - Which mostly means being disciplined about the difference between what is known and what is assumed. Second, to give the community somewhere to put its own work: screenshots, analysis, findings, trades and conversation.
The two halves support each other. A reference nobody contributes to goes stale; a community with no shared factual baseline argues in circles.
What we will not do
- Publish material from the September 2022 Rockstar breach, or any datamined pre-release content
- Present speculation as confirmation, or repeat unsourced claims because they are popular
- Run affiliate links, sponsored placements or paid reviews without disclosure - Currently we run none at all
- Generate pages at scale to capture search traffic without something useful on them
- Host cheats, mod menus, cracked builds or anything that circumvents the game
How it is funded
It is not, currently. There are no ads, no affiliate links, no sponsorships and no paid placements anywhere on this site as of the date at the top of this page. If that changes, this page changes first and every affected page carries a visible disclosure.
We say this because 'how does this site make money' is the single most useful question a reader can ask about any publication, and most sites make you guess.
Who writes it
Editorial desks, not invented people. Every byline on this site is a named team - The Release Desk, the Leonida Desk, the Systems Desk, the Story Desk, the Culture Desk, the Community Desk - And each is declared as an organisation in our structured data, never as a fictional individual.
Inventing plausible-sounding human journalists to manufacture authority is common practice and we are not doing it. If you want to know who wrote something, the answer is: a small group of volunteers working to the standard described in our editorial policy.
