This page describes how content on GTA6.free is produced. It exists so you can check our work rather than take our word for it.

Our three confidence labels

Every article and hub carries one, displayed visibly.

LabelMeansExample
ConfirmedStated by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or an official storefrontThe November 19, 2026 release date
ReportedReported by a credible outlet with a traceable basis, but not officially statedDetails of Vice City's districts
CommunityFan analysis and inference, presented as inferenceThe ~125 km² map size estimate

Our sourcing rules

  1. Official first. Where Rockstar or Take-Two has stated something, that is the source we cite.
  2. No leaks. We do not publish material from the 2022 breach or from datamining. It is stolen, it is obsolete, and it corrupts everything published alongside it.
  3. No laundering. We do not cite an article that cites an article. If a claim's chain of sources does not end somewhere real, we do not publish the claim.
  4. Gaps stay visible. Where public knowledge has a hole, we show the hole. We do not fill it with a plausible guess and hope nobody checks.
  5. Dates on everything. Every page shows when it was published and when it was last reviewed.

Bylines

Every article is bylined to an editorial desk - A named team - Rather than to an invented individual. In our structured data those desks are marked up as organisations, not as people.

This is deliberate. Fabricating human authors with fictional credentials to inflate perceived expertise is a widespread practice, it is dishonest, and Google's guidance on misrepresentation covers it directly.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly. Material corrections - Anything that changed a factual claim a reader might have acted on - Are recorded in the public update log with the date and what changed.

We do not silently edit. If a page said something wrong yesterday, the log says so.

The labels appear on every article and hub, from the release date hub to individual guides. Where we refuse to publish leaked material, the reasoning is on our leak policy page.

AI disclosure

Editorial tooling is used in producing this site, and it is worth being exact about where. The guides and hubs are written by the desks. The news reports are different: a scheduled process searches for a development, drafts a report from what it finds, and queues it privately. Nothing in that queue reaches the site on its own.

Before a queued report can publish, a named administrator has to approve it, and the draft is re-checked at that moment: two independent publishers must still cover the story, at least one source must be primary, and anything derived from the 2022 breach is refused outright. No more than three reports can publish in a day, by a hard limit in the code rather than a policy anybody could relax. A report that fails any of those checks is discarded rather than fixed up.

The artwork on this site is generated illustration, not photography, and is never presented as a screenshot of the game. Real in-game imagery on this site comes from official Rockstar material or from community members who credit their own captures.

Frequently asked questions

Does GTA6.free publish leaks?

No. We do not publish content from the 2022 Rockstar breach or datamined pre-release material.

Are the article images real screenshots?

Article hero art is generated illustration and is never presented as game footage. The official media library separately uses clearly labelled, credited Rockstar screenshots and artwork with direct source links.

Do you use AI to write articles?

Editorial tooling including AI is used in drafting. Every factual claim is verified against a source by a human, and nothing publishes without human review.

How do I report an error?
