The one genuinely open question
The carry limit is stated as two rifles and two pistols. A grenade is neither of those.
So where do throwables live?
Three possibilities. They take a slot, they sit in a separate pouch, or they stay in the trunk.
Rockstar has not said, and the answer changes how you plan a loadout.
What the precedent suggests
Red Dead Redemption 2, the game this inventory model comes from, held throwables apart from long guns and sidearms.
That is precedent. It is not confirmation, and we will not write it up as one.
