The short version
- There is no GTA 6 PC version, so every PC pre-order offer is fraudulent.
- There is no early access, beta or advance key programme.
- Pre-order code resale is the most common scam vector and is banned on this site's marketplace.
- Rockstar never distributes codes through Discord servers or social media giveaways.
Pre-order GTA 6 from an official store
Choose your platform and complete the purchase with Rockstar, PlayStation or Xbox. GTA6.free does not sell game keys or process payments.
GTA VI has no announced PC edition. Ignore PC keys, early-access offers and unofficial code sellers.
Independent links - GTA6.free receives no commission.
A launch this size attracts fraud at industrial scale. The good news is that the scams are formulaic, and every one of them fails a single test: does the thing being sold actually exist?
For four of the five most common offers, the answer is no.
The five scams you will see
- Fake PC pre-orders. There is no announced PC version of GTA VI. Any store page, key seller or pre-order offer for PC is fraudulent, full stop. This is the single most common one.
- 'Early access' or beta keys. There is no early access programme and no beta. Rockstar has never run one for a mainline GTA.
- Resold pre-order codes. Bonus content codes are tied to accounts and to storefronts. Codes offered for sale are either already redeemed, stolen, or region-locked in a way the seller will not mention.
- Social Club phishing. Pages imitating Rockstar's login to harvest credentials, usually promoted as a 'reward claim' or 'pre-order verification'. Rockstar does not ask you to verify a pre-order by logging in through a link.
- Discord giveaway scams. Servers impersonating Rockstar or a media outlet, running 'giveaways' that require a payment, a wallet connection or an account link. Rockstar does not distribute codes through Discord.
The five scams, and the test each one fails
Four of the five sell something that does not exist. That is the whole test.
| Offer | Does it exist? | Why not |
|---|---|---|
| A PC pre-order | No | No PC version has been announced |
| Early access or a beta key | No | Rockstar has never run one for a mainline GTA |
| A resold bonus code | No | Codes are tied to an account and a storefront |
| A Social Club login page | No | It is credential phishing |
| A Discord giveaway | Sometimes | The server is impersonating Rockstar or an outlet |
Why the price is the giveaway
Console storefronts do not discount a pre-order of this size, and there is no grey market for first-party console content.
Anything under $79.99 is selling you something Rockstar is not selling. Our edition comparison has the real prices.
The one platform question that settles most of it
GTA 6 is on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nothing else, as our platforms page sets out.
If an offer names PC, Switch, PS4 or Xbox One, it is fraudulent before you check anything else.
How to buy safely
- Buy from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or an established physical retailer
- Confirm the platform is PS5 or Xbox Series X|S - There is nothing else
- Never buy a 'key' for a first-party console storefront; that is not how console purchasing works
- Enable two-factor authentication on your Rockstar and platform accounts now, not in November
- Treat any offer below retail price as a scam by default
