In September 2022, a large volume of in-development Grand Theft Auto VI footage was stolen from Rockstar and published. It has shaped fan discussion of the game ever since, mostly for the worse.
This site does not use it. This page explains the reasoning, because a policy nobody understands is a policy nobody trusts.
The three reasons
- It is stolen. The material was obtained through a criminal intrusion into a workplace. Republishing it makes a community site a distribution channel for that intrusion, and the people most harmed by it were developers, not executives.
- It is wrong. The build was years from completion. Systems in it have demonstrably changed; the Extended Look contradicted several widely-repeated 'confirmed' details that originated in the leak. Sourcing from it produces confident inaccuracy, which is worse than admitting ignorance.
- It corrupts everything downstream. Once leaked material enters the information pool, it becomes impossible for readers to tell which claims have a real source. A site that mixes the two is not a reference; it is a rumour aggregator with a nice layout.
What we do instead
Every editorial page carries one of three labels. The label tells you how much weight to put on it.

The label is not the whole job
A label describes the page. It does not excuse the page.
Each factual statement still has to be backed by the source list underneath it.
What it costs us
This approach loses us traffic on speculative queries. People search for leaked lists and we do not have them.
It is also the reason the rest of the site is worth reading.
What this means for you
If you want datamined vehicle lists and leaked mission scripts, they exist elsewhere and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What you get here instead is a site where, if something is stated as a fact, there is a real source behind it - And where the gaps in public knowledge are shown as gaps rather than filled in with plausible-sounding invention.

Why not? Everyone else does.
The material is stolen, it describes an obsolete build, and mixing it with sourced reporting makes the whole site unreliable.
What do your confidence labels mean?
Confirmed means officially stated. Reported means credibly reported with a traceable basis. Community means fan analysis presented as inference.
Can members post leaks in the community sections?
No. It is a removable offence under our community rules and our moderators enforce it.
